Bloomberg seeks corporate finance editor

Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced editor for its Corporate Finance team in New York.

The editor will be responsible for helping to shape coverage of credit markets, including new bond issues, loans, and asset-backed securities.

Qualifications:
– The ideal candidate should have at least five years of experience in business journalism, such as for a financial newspaper or real-time news service, and be able to produce clear, concise and accurate copy under deadline pressure.
– The editor will also be expected to serve as a mentor and coach to reporters and should be comfortable working within a team environment.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
