Bloomberg seeks banking reporter in Hong Kong

Bloomberg’s Asia-Pacific finance team is seeking an experienced reporter in Hong Kong to help cover banking, brokers and consumer-finance companies in the region.

Candidates should be prepared to break news, develop a broad array of sources, and write authoritatively about the industry. The role requires a sense of curiosity and the ability to propose, report and write stories that will interest Bloomberg’s global audience.

A strong work ethic and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues in the Greater China region and around the world are essential. Fluency in Mandarin is highly preferred.

Qualifications:

– Fluency in English in essential
– Fluency in Mandarin is highly preferred
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required
– Strong news judgement and proven ability to write big-picture stories is essential
– Proven ability to break news is critical
– An unwavering commitment to accuracy is essential
