Bloomberg News seeks a Team Leader for the Finance Team in Asia, a group that comprises reporters and editors covering banks, brokerages, private equity firms and financial regulation in countries including China, India, Japan, Australia, Singapore and South Korea.
The role is based in Hong Kong and reports to the Global Managing Editor for Finance. Responsibilities include generating and shaping ideas, editing copy, coaching and mentoring reporters and editors, and collaborating with fellow managers across the organization.
The successful applicant will be able to work with reporters and editors in different countries to deliver clear, accurate breaking news under deadline pressure, as well as helping them produce impactful enterprise.
The Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
– Minimum of five years of experience in business journalism
– Experience working in a real-time news environment
– Experience in recruiting and managing employees remotely is preferred
– Knowledge of the economy, financial markets, and Wall Street is essential
– Strong news judgment and writing skills are essential
