Bloomberg seeks an equities reporter in Toronto

Bloomberg News is seeking an equities reporter(s) to provide deep, real-time analysis on the Canadian and U.S. stock markets. We’re looking for an aggressive reporter who will dig out exclusive information on what’s moving markets and why. The role involves writing fast, concise reports on markets and individual stocks, unearthing analyst research and delivering to clients the news and insight they need to understand what’s driving the most interesting moves each day.

We’re looking for an effective team player who thrives in a dynamic environment. We are known for our quality, accuracy and ability to deliver news investors can use. On the equities team, you’ll be charged with connecting the dots to provide readers with all they need from the world’s leading provider of financial news.

Qualifications:

  •   Deep equity-market contacts
  •   Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Canadian and U.S. stock markets
  •   Ability to write quickly and concisely under deadlines
  •   Knowledge of natural resources/mining stocks and what moves them a plus

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
