Bloomberg News is one of the biggest financial and business news organizations in the world. We lead the way in breaking news and providing analysis of business, economics and financial markets, from daily coverage through to in-depth features. We are known for our quality, accuracy and ability to deliver news investors can use. It’s what keeps us inventing and re-inventing, all the time.

Bloomberg’s Global Technology group is seeking a creative reporter who can deliver scoops, craft features and profile the most exciting personalities on some of the world’s most pivotal companies in Asia and beyond.

From their perch in Seoul — home to Samsung, SK Hynix and a nexus of the global memory semiconductor and consumer electronics industry — this person should spot opportunities to uncover stories that are affecting the global tech landscape. They should be at the forefront of chronicling the historic evolution of the AI infrastructure boom, underpinned by Nvidia and the thousands of Asian industry linchpins vital to developing artificial intelligence. He or she would break news on and provide exclusive insights into a multi-trillion-dollar wave of global investment in AI. They should be adept at tracing the ripple effects of that spending spree on governments, companies, markets and economies — not just in Asia but across the planet.

The successful candidate will join our global effort to break news on and chronicle unprecedented shifts in the global supply chain stemming from US-Chinese tensions, and the rise of South Korean tech leaders such as Samsung and SK Hynix. They should take the lead on covering bottlenecks to the advent of AI, from surging memory chip prices to a shortage of high-end accelerators, that are roiling markets and industries worldwide. Given the central role that South Korea’s companies play in the design and production of just about all modern devices and vehicles, they should also be able to contribute to broader reporting projects on devices from iPhones to Tesla cars.

The successful candidate will be part of a squad of reporters from San Francisco to Tokyo and Beijing that, through breaking news and long-form features, tell the story of the advent of the most revolutionary technologies of our time.
