Bloomberg seeks a senior ESG editor in London

Bloomberg is looking for a senior editor to join our expanding ESG team. ESG is one of the most exciting and fast-moving stories we cover and we’re looking for someone who can help reporters break news and execute features for all our most important platforms.

Global regulation and financial disclosure will form a big part of the role as officials from Brussels to DC and Beijing develop the rules that will govern the ESG universe. But we’re also interested in a broad range of other topics, from sustainability and `greenwashing’ to equality and diversity. This is a global story that touches every part of our newsroom and so the successful candidate will need to work with reporters across the global newsroom, especially on our Green, markets, finance and business teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

  •  Solid knowledge of ESG and the regulatory landscape
  •  A proven track record of collaborating with reporters and editors to break news and deliver enterprise on deadline
  •  A strong understanding of Markets and Finance and its intersection with policy
  •  A sense of urgency
  •  An ability to think creatively about story presentation, formats and work with different platforms on audience engagement
