The FX/Rates team in New York is looking for a reporter to drive coverage of the world’s most-actively traded markets, breaking news and explaining the intricacies of global currencies.
As an FX/Rates reporter, you’ll be required to pounce on moves in the currency and bond markets, keep in touch with some of the biggest and most respected names in the industry, and have an understanding of politics and economics. You’ll need to work quickly, responding to the evolution of the geopolitical landscape, policy shifts in the world’s richest nations and the twists and turns of the changing global economy. We’ll also look to you for a steady roster of original ideas on everything from dollar hegemony and the globalization of the yuan to the business and structure of the currency and rates markets, and to think creatively about how to tell those stories across Bloomberg’s multimedia platforms and magazines.
