Bloomberg seeks a crypto blogger

Bloomberg News is seeking a seasoned and savvy writer for real-time commentary on cryptocurrencies and blockchain. This is a broad assignment with space for columns and blogging on all aspects of a beat that touches markets, finance, technology, regulation and more. For an ambitious journalist, it’s a high-profile opportunity to build a brand at one of the world’s biggest news organizations, writing with curiosity and skepticism on a topic that is of interest to virtually every financial news audience.

Candidates should have a portfolio of well-researched pieces and a solid knowledge of crypto and related topics. Alacrity of mind is a must in this position which includes daily writing, as well as creativity and a willingness to write provocatively in a highly charged and competitive environment. We’re looking for someone who can cut through the noise and write with authority, context and wit.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
