Bloomberg Gadfly seeks senior writer in Asia

Are you a writer and analyst with deep subject authority on every aspect of financial markets, who would like to tell sophisticated readers how to think about the news? Bloomberg Gadfly might be the place for you.

We’re seeking a senior writer to explain key developments in equities, corporate debt and derivatives across the Asia Pacific region. The position, ideally based in Hong Kong or Singapore, will involve collaboration with other Bloomberg platforms, including television and radio appearances.

You’ll need:

  • Broad and deep knowledge of markets throughout Asia.
  • An excellent degree, or equivalent experience.
  • A graceful writing style, and the ability to crunch data under deadline pressure.
  • Abundant perspective, opinions grounded in facts, and the ability to make every column a must-read for a discerning professional audience.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
