Bloomberg Gadfly seeks Asian tech columnist

Bloomberg’s new fast-commentary platform, Gadfly, is seeking an Asia tech columnist with deep knowledge of technology and telecom companies throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

The successful candidate will be a thoughtful, graceful writer who is comfortable crunching numbers and analyzing news developments quickly, with abundant perspective and opinion grounded in facts.

This person is collaborative, keen to experiment with voice and style, and able to make every column a must-read for anyone needing context and guidance on the news.

Corporate finance and markets columnist: With deep knowledge of every aspect of corporate finance throughout the Asia-Pacific region, the ability to respond to developments in financial markets. The successful candidate will be a thoughtful, graceful writer who is comfortable crunching numbers and analyzing news developments quickly, with abundant perspective and opinion grounded in facts.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
