Bloomberg Digital seeks ME for Europe

The Managing Editor for Europe was a created to significantly increase Bloomberg’s digital presence in the region. The role is responsible for overseeing the execution of Bloomberg’s digital strategy, leading a team of editors, and work closely with the design team and programming team in New York to create localized digital products and experiences.

The individual will also be coordinating and working closely with content teams from other Bloomberg properties (Bloomberg News, Television, Magazines, and Events).

The role will be supervised by the Executive Editor of Digital in New York and the Managing Director, Europe for Bloomberg Media.

Responsibilities:
-Lead Bloomberg’s strategy to create localized digital products and grow audience in the region.
-Lead a team of editors and writers and manage all content on Bloomberg’s localized websites.
-Coordinate and work closely with the central digital teams in New York on design and product development of the localized digital properties.
-Work closely with Television teams to create a unique digital video experience.
-Identify opportunities to deliver increased traffic to Bloomberg’s websites.
-Help manage costs and budget for digital properties in the region.
-Work closely with Advertising Sales teams to push digital revenue and work on digital customer solutions.
-Coordinate and work closely with other departments and platforms (Bloomberg News, Television, Magazines, and Events) to leverage Bloomberg’s brand.
-Identify a digital marketing strategy and leverage the Bloomberg brand to increase visibility and push the digital properties.

Qualifications:
-An entrepreneurial approach to creating great digital products.
-Deep understanding of all digital content and product experiences and an understanding of how they connect brands and consumers.
-Successful track record of delivering digital content, products and services.
-Extensive experience managing teams (some of them remote) and working with creative and/or technical development of web-based solutions, technology and emerging media.
-Deep understanding of the business and working with ad sales to come up with customer solutions.
-Deep understanding of the Asian digital market and its dynamics.
-Exceptional communication skills – written, verbal and presentational.
