Bloomberg seeks bonds/currencies reporter in New York

Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced reporter for its U.S. government bonds and currencies team in New York.

The reporter will be responsible for stories about the movements of the major currency and government bond markets, interviews with prominent money managers and investment strategists, and government finances and policy.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience reporting on markets, and be able to produce clear, concise and accurate copy under deadline pressure. The reporter should be comfortable working within a team environment.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Experience working in a real-time news environment
-Minimum of three years of business journalism experience
-Ability to write quickly and concisely under deadline pressure

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
