Blockchain News seeks a publisher

Blockchain News (http://the-blockchain.com) is seeking a publisher capable of running, growing and setting strategy for a niche, ad-supported news media site focused on news related to innovation in blockchain technology, including initial coin offerings (ICOs) and tokenizations.

Blockchain News began two years ago as an open-source journalism project and has since grown to become the closest thing cryptocurrency has to a business newswire, covering everything from Bitcoin to the latest ICO. Readers are up-to-date on announcements from nearly every high-impact project, plus a flow of news from blockchain developers they might not have heard of. Developers that meet consistency and credibility standards have merited coverage on Blockchain News.

Blockchain News recently completed a merger with Token Report (https://medium.com/tokenreport/ico-news-research-token-report-blockchain-news-merger-d855d160cc53).

As such, Blockchain News has an established advertising business and a pipeline of interested advertisers. The best candidates for the publisher role will be experienced in both selling advertising and in crafting innovative media products. In other words, we are looking for someone who can lead on both the editorial and the business side.

To succeed, the publisher will be someone who is excited about getting hands-on with a product. This publisher will begin by writing, editing and selling ads, then moving onto recruiting and managing for both editorial and business-side roles, as well as developing new products and strategies.

Specific activities of the role include:
*Selling advertising to blockchain and ICO industry companies, including token issuers and ICO promoters
*Recruiting and managing employees in editorial and sales
*Participating in strategy discussions with Token Report senior management
*Leading the development of new products
*Managing complex projects such as website design

As publisher you will articulate a vision for a media property that stands at the cusp of a new industrial revolution. We are building for beyond the bubble; you and your team of early hires will lead the execution of that strategy.

Details:
*Salary & Benefits: Competitive, with an emphasis on revenue-driven bonuses and other incentives.
*Location: Currently, operations are based in Boston, New York, Amsterdam and the Cayman Islands. We are open to candidates based in other locations.

To apply or learn more about the role, please send an email cover letter and a pdf resume to: publisher@tokenreport.com.
