Bizwomen.com seeks two reporters

Bizwomen.com is a newly launched news website that covers women in business across the country. It is a destination for breaking news, in-depth features and thought-provoking interviews with the country’s top female business leaders.

We have two open reporter positions and are looking to fill them with news junkies who firmly believe that that the women in business beat is not limited to cliched stories about work-life balance. Applicants should be intrigued and invigorated by the prospect of working in a fast-paced, startup environment. A strong work ethic and a commitment to thorough, honest and in-depth reporting are considered must-have qualities, as is the ability and willingness to churn out loads of quality content.

We are also looking for reporters who thrive in the digital space, with a proven ability to establish and grow an audience. Social media know-how is huge, and multimedia skills are a plus. In short, we are looking for reporters who will help make the site the country’s top destination for women in business news.

Duties:

Report and write multiple stories a day, generate mountains of story ideas with unique angles, promote Bizwomen content via social media, grow and develop the Bizwomen audience.

Skills:

Must be able to work on multiple different projects, of varying sizes, at the same time. An ability and willingness to churn out lots of clean, quality content, and a commitment to strong, fair and dogged reporting. Must be savvy in the use of social media. Multimedia skills are a plus.
