BizWest seeks a reporter

BizWest seeks a hard-driving reporter looking to excel in one of the most entrepreneurial and innovative regions of the country.

We’re an award-winning regional business journal covering the Boulder Valley and Northern Colorado, and we’re seeking a reporter to cover multiple beats. Our preference for this position — currently remote — is that the reporter be based in the Northern Colorado part of our coverage area, including Fort Collins, Greeley or surrounding communities.

Join us to tell stories of business and the economy, including dynamic and important industries such as startups, health care, real estate, agribusiness and energy.

BizWest publishes a monthly print edition, but the bulk of our content is delivered first online via two daily emails.

We’d prefer applicants to have a couple of years of experience, but we’re more interested in the reporter’s accuracy, skill sets, intelligence, instinct and writing ability. Applicants should be willing to jump on breaking news. A willingness to adapt is a must. An interest in enterprise reporting is a must.

Our team is small but mighty. Your responsibilities would include daily news, in-depth features for our print edition and, yes, enterprise reporting, among other things.

If you would be new to Colorado, consider 300+ days of sunshine a year in a state where you can:

• Hike a mountain trail.

• Bike in areas of natural beauty.

• Climb one of Colorado’s 58 14ers.

• Ski one of the nearby slopes.

• Camp.

• Enjoy an ice-cold beer at one of our 400+ breweries.

If you’re not new to Colorado, you know all of that already.

Send resume to Chris Wood, Editor & Publisher, cwood@bizwest.com.
