The Beaver County Times seeks an energy/business reporter who will take our community to another level in understanding the fast-changing world around them, particularly in this region. Experience or knowledge reporting on the oil/gas industry is a plus, as is business-reporting experience.
Good critical-thinking and people skills are a must. This person will think digital-first but also know our print readers will gain knowledge in different ways.
Two years’-plus daily newspaper experience is preferred. The Times (circ. 35,000 Sunday, 28,000 daily; about 1.5 million web hits monthly) is about 35 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, 20 minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport in the rolling hills of southwestern Pennsylvania and has a long tradition of quality, community-focused journalism.
