BBC News seeks economics and business reporter in New York

BBC NewsBBC News seeks a skilled and experienced broadcast journalist to work for its economics and business team in New York City. The successful candidate will be able to produce, write and broadcast high quality business news for one of the world’s leading news organisations, on all of its platforms – TV, radio and digital.  The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate each of the following:

– At least 2 years of experience covering U.S. business and financial news.
– Lots of on-air experience, in TV or radio, and preferably both, including live work.
– A strong track record of producing news for digital platforms.

The job demands the ability to work well in small teams, under the sometimes intense pressure of daily, live news. We need someone who can turn up each day with enough ideas and energy to produce the constant stream of informed, balanced and lively business news the BBC demands.

Applicants must have the right to live and work in the United States. This job is cover for family leave. It is expected to last for a year.
