Barron’s, a financial news magazine and website published by Dow Jones, is launching a premier, English-language, paid website this fall and seeks an experienced journalist to fill the position of Assistant Editor.

This is a full-time position based in Hong Kong. The Assistant Editor will help the Managing Editor through the entire publication process – working with a small team of reporters and bloggers to generate ideas, edit copy and publish stories. The successful applicant is a seasoned journalist who is adept at performing different roles, which may include everything from editing to pinch-hitting and writing the occasional story.

The ideal candidate should be a strong writer, and have at least five to 10 years’ experience covering financial markets or equities. Knowledge of Asia, familiarity with web publishing and management experience are all plusses.

Dow Jones offers an opportunity to work for one of the world’s leading financial and business news companies. We invite interested candidates to submit in confidence a cover letter and detailed resume stating your qualifications, contact details and current and expected via here.
