Barron’s Group is seeking an enterprising and enthusiastic business reporter to join its team in London.
The position will primarily cover the Private Equity industry and contribute articles to Private Equity News, our leading publication targeted at this fascinating sector. The successful candidate will also contribute to our other BG publications, including Financial News and MarketWatch.
This is an exciting time to report on PE. The sector has amassed more funds than ever before, and owns businesses that run the gamut from retail food and beverage to the latest hot tech companies. There is no area of today’s economy untouched by the rise of the PE funds. It’s an industry full of interesting characters and loaded with potential for deep, rich storytelling.
We are looking for an ambitious, hard-working, flexible team player. Our ideal candidate will have several years of business reporting under their belt, with a good understanding of the investing landscape. Previous knowledge of the PE industry is ideal but not necessary.
The reporter will be expected to develop an extensive network of contacts; write both breaking news and enterprise stories; contribute to strategic planning of coverage; pitch and participate in ideas for live events and multi-media projects, and more. The reporter will work with editorial colleagues at PEN, FN and MarketWatch. The position is available immediately.
