Bankrate seeks an audience development editor

Bankrate, a division of Red Ventures, is seeking an audience development editor to reach millions of people with our trusted personal finance content.

Responsibilities:

  • Build Bankrate’s growing freelance program by recruiting qualified writers.
  • Brainstorm, assign, and edit story ideas catered to Bankrate’s audience.
  • Work with Red Ventures’ SEO team to optimize story assignments and reach maximum readers.
  • Facilitate communication between Bankrate’s editorial and PR teams by creating calendars of planned content.
  • Raise Bankrate’s profile on LinkedIn, Instagram, Apple News, and other platforms by pitching content to appropriate editors.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience editing.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Experience working with freelancers.

Preferred:

  • Comfortable with WordPress interface CMS.
  • Familiar with SEO best practices.
  • Experience working with freelancers.
  • Fluent in social media platforms and pitching processes.
