Atlantic City daily seeks editor to launch new business section

We’re The Press of Atlantic City, a 50,000-circulation newspaper with a growing array of digital platforms. A progressive news operation with a focus on communication and collaboration at all levels, we’re passionate about serving our readers and helping our journalists develop new skills.

Help lead our team as we launch a new business section in print and continue to push for audience growth online. Drive business and economic coverage of Atlantic City and surrounding area at a time when there are many challenges and changes.

The Press is located in southern New Jersey, which offers seashore, casino, urban, suburban and rural areas. The Press is owned by BH Media and is located within a few hours’ drive of Philadelphia, New York and Washington.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
