We are looking for folks who can write authoritative, testing-based guides for Ars Technica. Open to pitches on any number of consumer tech categories. Past experience doing this sort of thing is a plus. If you’re interested, get in touch!
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Ars Technica’s mission is to provide insights into what’s at stake in technology today, through an understanding of all the facets that surround and contribute to it. It is a trusted source for technology news, tech policy analysis, breakdowns of the latest scientific advancements, gadget reviews, software, hardware, and nearly everything else found in between layers of silicon.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Generally giving 4-6 weeks for a deadline, though the work itself won’t take up that much time. There would be further opportunities for updates to a completed guide over time. Would be a lesser rate (depends on the work needed), but allows for some level of recurring work.
This is a rolling initiative, something I’m trying to get more of onto Ars in general. If someone has a good idea and can lend of sense of expertise to a topic, I’d be thrilled to hear from them.
