Do you prefer a job where you do the same thing every day? If so, this isn’t the one for you.
American Banker seeks an enterprising, experienced business writer to cover strategies for financial institutions, with an emphasis on community banks. American Banker looks for original, well-crafted analyses written for its niche audience of bank executives, service professionals and state and federal regulators.
Topics range broadly, including bank performance (revenue generation, expenses, credit), competition with nonbanks, and the practical impact of policy matters such as accounting or capital changes.
American Banker reporters are expected to generate story ideas, think digital-first, and help develop data-rich graphics. This position would be on the Community Banking/Dealmaking & Strategy team, reporting to editor Paul Davis, but would provide opportunities to work with a wide range of editors and colleagues at American Banker and other SourceMedia publications.
To apply, send a resume, cover letter and clips to Paul Davis at Paul.Davis@SourceMedia.com.
