American Banker seeks a reporter

American Banker is currently seeking a Reporter to cover the banking industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing short breaking news stories and longer features about U.S. commercial banking that will appear online and in print.   The AB Reporter will work closely with colleagues in the newsroom and around the country to coordinate coverage. The ability to write clearly and accurately under tight deadlines is required. Knowledge of banking, finance, digital journalism and social media are a plus.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a minimum of three years reporting experience and preferably an understanding of banking and financial services. Essential skills include an ability to generate unique story ideas and provocative analysis for a sophisticated banking audience, write clearly on deadline and cooperate closely with editors and other colleagues in a fast-paced newsroom.

He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
