American Banker seeks a reporter in DC

American Banker has an immediate opening for an enterprising and self-starting reporter in its Washington D.C. bureau covering financial and legislative regulatory policy for banks and fintech firms.

The D.C. bureau covers the intersection of the government and the financial services industry, with particular focus to Dodd-Frank reform, the Federal Reserve and other banking agencies, and the mortgage companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Qualifications
Eligible candidates will have at least five years of daily news reporting experience covering the government and business policy.
Essential skills include an ability to generate unique story ideas and provocative analysis for a sophisticated banking audience, write clearly on deadline and cooperate closely with editors and other colleagues in a fast-paced newsroom.
