Alaska Public Media, dba as KAKM-TV, KSKA-FM and the Alaska Public Radio Network, is seeking an energy reporter.
The energy reporter will cover a rapidly changing energy industry. Coverage areas will include in part oil and gas exploration and production; mining; and alternative and renewable energy. Issues and trends will be explored through various lenses including business, technical, scientific, government and environmental.
The Energy Reporter will research, report and produce authoritative energy stories that are pertinent to Alaska and reflect the links to the broader national and international industry, and local, state and federal government policies.
Report news and features on a wide variety of energy related topics and other natural resource news as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree plus at least five years experience, or equivalent reporting experience, in a daily broadcast, print or web news environment. Experience in energy, natural resources or environment coverage. Deep knowlege of the energy business.
