Aging Media Network seeks a health care business reporter

Aging Media Network is a fast-growing, boutique business-to-business (B2B) media company covering the $7.1 trillion business of aging.

We are seeking a high-energy reporter to cover the dynamic and growing industry for Senior Housing News (SHN), the leading source of news, insights, and analysis for executives.

You will help drive our coverage of the senior housing sector, from breaking news to reporting in-depth, original stories that analyze trends. As a reporter, you will monitor the beat, cultivate relationships with stakeholders, hunt down important stories, and collaborate with your team.

SHN reaches the top decision-makers at publicly traded and privately held companies providing housing and health care to older adults, as well as ownership groups and capital providers such as real estate investment trusts, and other national and regional players serving the industry — from organizations focused on real estate to technology and many other areas.

This is a unique opportunity to work with well-funded and dedicated entrepreneurs who have already built five of the leading B2B publications in aging services.

We are open to remote candidates.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with team members to write, edit and publish copy each day
  • Chase down scoops and break news before any other news outlets
  • Conceptualize, research, write and edit content for industry audiences
  • Develop industry sources
  • Support the editorial team on special projects (including podcast production and event planning), attend industry conferences, establish and maintain contacts
  • Assist with content distribution through email and other channels

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English or related field preferred, but not required
  • Two to five years of reporting/editing experience
  • B2B experience is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to multitask, take new assignments in stride and learn something new each day
  • A desire to use new technology to its fullest
  • Demonstrated research and writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Email your resume, three writing samples and cover letter to jobs@agingmedia.com.
