AFP seeks economics news editor in Washington

Agence France-Presse is seeking an English-language economics news editor to work in its Washington DC office, AFP’s main hub for North America.

Candidates should have at least three years experience reporting and editing business, finance and economic news and be able to generate original story ideas.

The position involves writing and editing stories on a variety of subjects, from the stock market to company earnings to macroeconomics and government policy.

Candidates should have a working knowledge of French. Candidates must demonstrate sound editorial judgment, writing flair and an ability to work under pressure.
