The Advocate, Louisiana’s largest daily newspaper and a growing regional presence, is looking for an experienced Business Writer in Baton Rouge. Excellent writing and reporting skills are key, as is a desire to land on the front page.
Candidates should be able to handle the demands of digital reporting as well as the daily deadlines of print. This is a competitive beat in a great news town where deep sourcing and an ability to break news will be paramount. Clips should reflect the ability to do in-depth analysis/stories as well as spot news, business features and profiles.
Compensation: base pay and benefits package (health, dental, life, disability, vision, 401k with company match, vacation, holidays and sick time).
