Advertising Age seeks senior editor to oversee digital

Ad Age, the leading source of news, information and analysis for the marketing and media industry, is seeking an experienced smart, tech-savvy journalist to drive our coverage of the digital side of marketing.

The digital landscape is undergoing massive changes and Ad Age covers this space with an eye on what marketers need to know about those shifts. We follow the money, but we also follow the ideas. We’re on top of new models and what they mean for brands. This is a high-profile beat, so we need someone driven and hungry to help us win on it. We’re specifically looking for someone with a passion for technology and how it intersects with media and marketing.

Can you sniff out smart stories in a competitive space? Are you able to explain complex issues clearly and concisely, to craft compelling personality-driven features as well as quick hits for the web? Do you possess a healthy dose of skepticism and the ability to persevere, even in the face of a difficult story? If the answer is yes, we’d like to hear from you.

This is a high-profile beat that produces some of our best-read coverage. We’re looking for someone who can represent Ad Age at conferences and speaking events.

The ideal candidate should submit a resume and several clips that illustrate a track record of breaking news, smart news analysis and solid judgment. Ad Age is a fast-paced, deadline-oriented organization and we’re looking for journalists who can thrive in it.
