Adams Publishing Group is seeking a full-time reporter to cover local government and community news in our Antigo, Wisconsin office. This position reports to our regional editor team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative self-starter who can work independently and has demonstrated skill as a reporter, writer and photographer. Recent college graduates and those with equivalent experience are encouraged to apply. We are a developmental-oriented team committed to helping you advance in your journalism career. This is a full-time, in-person position with full health care and other benefits.
We’re looking for people who want to grow their skills, help and collaborate with others and be part of a community-focused team. Our journalists need to be ready to adapt to a modern, subscriber-based journalism model that recognizes digital consumption of news is our future.
If that describes you, come join our growing company and be part of a vibrant, collaborative newsroom that will be working together on enterprise stories that affect us all locally and regionally.
This position will involve reporting, editing and some photography. The journalists best suited to this role will be creative self-starters with a natural curiosity about the people in our communities. We need people who want to build relationships with sources, peers and mentors and will always look for ways to engage readers and get beyond the surface of stories.
In southern Wisconsin, Adams Publishing Group produces 15 news publications in a variety of formats – daily, weekly and semiweekly – but what they all have in common are readers who want useful, local content. We need stories about our neighbors, our businesses, our governments and local trends.
