American City Business Journals is always looking for exceptional journalists – reporters, editors, photographers and designers – to join our 40+ newsrooms

ACBJ is a profitable and growing news organization that serves an elite audience of business decision-makers in 45 cities across the country.

Job Responsibilities:

We cover the most important industries, companies, issues, executives and trends in the most dynamic business communities in the United States, with a strong focus on the businesses and executives that make a local economy grow.

From tourism/hospitality in Orlando and Miami, to retail in Seattle and Minneapolis, to biotech in Boston and San Francisco, to real estate in all of them and everywhere in between, our newsrooms own the most important business stories of our time, telling them through the lens of local companies and executives, where the rubber meets the road.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Open to new college grads
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to relate comfortably to a wide range of people, in person, on the phone and online
  • A clear drive to develop sources and build audience
  • Solid understanding of news writing, journalistic ethics and story structure or to learn that skillset through continuing development
  • Ability to leverage relationships with sources to deliver content that differentiates the organization from competitors
  • Multimedia skills, including video, photos, broadcast, on-camera, helpful
