4 News Now seeks a morning show reporter

4 News Now, the ABC affiliate in Spokane, Washington, is looking for a storyteller to join our dynamic, close-knit newsroom. Can you handle live breaking news as well as you can tell a fun, feature story? Want to be live on TV multiple times every hour, working with a news photographer who handles the camera and the live shot? We have the job for you You’ll report the news in the field and in the studio alongside a team of established, FUN journalists. Learn from veteran broadcasters and work with the most experienced anchor team in town. 4 News Now in Spokane, Washington is hiring a reporter for our morning news show. This is the perfect job for someone who loves reporting and also wants the flexibility to show some personality on the morning news.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute live and pre-recorded content for our morning news show
  • Work with a photographer in the field to more safely execute live coverage
  • Use creativity and strategy to extend your coverage beyond television and onto digital platforms
  • Use social media to gather and share information
  • Assist online staff in preparing for multi-media stories

Qualifications:

  • The Morning show Reporter will have a 4-year degree in journalism or related field and preferably 2+ years of experience as a Multi-Media Journalist
  • You bring your creativity, positive attitude and working knowledge of journalism ethics – and, we’ll help you grow and learn

Pay range: $18.00/hour – $20.00/hour
