The Los Angeles Times is seeking summer interns to join its data and graphics department. The interns will partner and collaborate with reporters and editors across newsrooms.
The paid internships will provide candidates experience working with professional reporters and computer programmers as they report the news. The interns will join a newsroom team that works to collect, organize, analyze and present structured data.
Past interns have gone on to jobs at the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, the Associated Press, ProPublica, Vox Media and Politico.
Applicants who wish to apply must send in their resume and three references, along with links to the things that made that you are most proud of.
The deadline is Dec. 31, 2019.
