The Wall Street Journal is seeking newsroom developers to join its strategy team.
There are newsroom developer positions in three new departments being created: Young Audiences, a cross-disciplinary department that will create a media-agnostic digital magazine aimed at an audience in their 20s and 30s; New Audiences, a department that will create new products that are of interest to audiences the Journal is seeking to grow; and the WSJ Innovation Department, which is a cross-disciplinary department.
The roles would include the creation of newsroom tools, the creation of digital stories, and assisting with maintenance and graphics projects.
A minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience in a media-rich digital environment is desirable along with expertise in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
