Dow Jones is hiring a reporter for its versatile newsroom in Barcelona. The reporter will be working with other people in the newsroom who fuel its real-time news service for financial professionals.
The reporter will be responsible for monitoring press-release feeds, websites and other sources of news and fire off headlines and short stories on key developments for publication in real-time. The reporter must also be able to identify important, forward-looking detail from a fast-moving stream of information and convert it into catchy headlines and short articles in English.
The current opening will cover all kinds of news and companies, with an emphasis on energy and mining companies like BP, Glencore, Shell, and Anglo American.
Candidates must be accurate, speedy, possess excellent written English skills, ability to do text translation, and other relevant skills.
