James Hennessy has been appointed as editor of Business Insider Australia.
Hannah Blackiston of Mumbrella writes, “Hennessy said the new role comes at the perfect time for him to take on a new challenge.
“‘I’ve had a great few years as Pedestrian.TV’s deputy editor, but I’m keen for a new challenge. There’s a big opportunity to make Business Insider something different and unique in Australia’s media landscape, and we have the perfect team in place to make that happen,’ he said.
“In his new role, Hennessy will oversee a team of three, including senior reporter Jack Derwin, reporter Sharon Masige and global news reporter Rosie Perper. Hennessy’s political, cultural and business reporting has previously appeared in The Guardian, The Outline, The Monthly, SBS and across the ABC. He also frequently contributes to The Drum and Radio National.”
