The Associated Press has tapped reporters from The Wall Street Journal, Politico and Bloomberg to join its global religion team, lead by Michael Rezendes, former member of The Boston Globe’s Spotlight team that broke the Catholic church abuse scandal.
The team includes Gary Fields, a WSJ veteran who spent more than 19 years as an investigative reporter; Politico alum Elana Schor, who primarily covered Congress; and former Bloomberg and WSJ reporter Mariam Fam, who covered the economy in Northern Africa.
