Alexis Grant, the executive vice president of content for personal finance site The Penny Hoarder is leaving the company at the end of the week.
“I’ve so enjoyed building this company over the last five years!” wrote Grant on LinkedIn. “I can’t wait to watch our amazing leadership team and staff continue to grow the brand. While I will truly miss working with this team, I’m looking forward to some rest.”
The Penny Hoarder laid off some of its editorial staff last month.
Grant previously was the executive editor of Penny Hoarder, based in Washington, until early 2018. She plans to move her family back to the DC area after moving to Florida, where Penny Hoarder is headquartered.
She was the founder and innovator in chief of Socialexis, a blog management company that was acquired by the parent of Penny Hoarder.
Before that, she was careers editor of US News & World Report and a reporter for the Houston Chronicle.
