The Financial Times has hired Sue-Lin Wong, a reporter at Reuters, as its new south China correspondent.
She will open an FT bureau in Shenzhen.
“I’m sad to leave @Reuters after more than four wonderful years but very excited for all the adventures & stories which lie ahead,” she wrote on Twitter.
Wong has been with Reuters since September 2014. She previously freelanced for The New York Times, Reuters, Foreign Policy, and The Atlantic, among other publications in China and Australia.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Australian National University.
