Greg Weaver, who had been involved in overseeing the business news coverage at the Indianapolis Star for the past 19 years, has accepted the paper’s buyout and is joining Indiana Humanities as its director of communications.
Weaver had been editor overseeing government, business and politics coverage since 2012. From 2000 to 2012, he was the assistant business editor and business editor at The Star.
He had joined the Star in 1992 as a religion writer. Before that, he was with the Evansville Courier as a statehouse bureau chief and the Shelbyville News as a general assignment reporter.
He’s a Ball State University graduate.
