Kourtney Geers started Monday as the new managing editor of the Denver Business Journal.
Jonathan Rose of the Business Journal writes, “Geers, who began her new role Monday, brings more than a decade of experience to the position, having worked with MSN, Politico, the Washington Post and Craftsy. Most recently she was the Denver Post’s director of digital news production, managing a team of producers and leading the newsroom’s efforts in digital storytelling.
“‘We are excited to have Kourtney join the award-winning news team at Denver Business Journal,’ said Editor-in-chief Rebecca Troyer. ‘Her talents and experience are an ideal fit for our digital-first focus, as we continue to report the exclusive business intelligence the Denver business community has relied upon for 70 years.’
“Geers will act, in effect, as the newsroom’s chief operating officer, overseeing the flow of content across print, online mobile, email and social platforms, with a heavy focus on the digital side.”
