CNBC Make It announced Monday the launch of “Two Questions with Adam Bryant,” a digital video series featuring former New York Times “Corner Office” columnist and CNBC contributor Adam Bryant.
In the series, Bryant sits with prominent female leaders from a variety of industries to get to the bottom of two central questions: How did they navigate the unique challenges women in business face and what is their best advice to other women?
The monthly video series is part of CNBC’s cross-network coverage initiative called “Closing the Gap,” which explores women’s advancement at work and in business.
The first episode features SoulCycle CEO Melanie Whelan, who discusses the challenge of going from an all-girls school to being just one in 10 women among 150 male classmates in her college engineering program and later often being one of the only women in the boardroom. Whelan reveals how she learned to speak up and develop her point of view, as well as her strategies for owning every meeting. She also talks about the critical experience women need to get early in their careers to be on track for the C-suite.
“Two Questions with Adam Bryant” will be published on CNBC Make It and include companion articles written by Bryant for each episode. The series will also be available on YouTube, and excerpts of the interviews will air on CNBC’s business day programming.
