The Washington Bureau and Business Day of The New York Times are looking for a reporter to cover trade in the Trump administration.
You would be expected to break news on this fast-moving beat, focusing on the dramatic changes proposed to trade agreements. You would collaborate with reporters across the U.S. and the world to illustrate the impact of the changes.
You should be a proven news breaker who can also turn around enterprise stories quickly, as well as deliver in-depth reporting.
You should be able to write well and fast, develop sources and juggle multiple stories at once. A working knowledge of trade issues and economics is a plus, as well as experience covering Washington.
Applicants should be collaborative and creative and come to the job with the experience, whether in newspapers, magazines or online, to hit the ground running.
