Jessica Heslam of the Boston Herald reports Thursday that four members of the Boston Globe business news team have left the paper amid buyout offers.
Heslam writes, “Heavyweight business reporters Jeffrey Krasner, who covers health care, and Ross Kerber, who covers financial services, are among those taking a buyout.
“‘I have 2-year-old twins and I need to build a more secure financial future for them,’ said Krasner, who plans to set up a health-care consulting firm. Krasner was on the Globe Spotlight Team that just won two awards from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers.
“Kerber said he plans to cover mutual funds for Reuters’ Boston bureau. Susan Howley, the office manager for the business section, is also leaving. Danielle Kost, a multimedia producer for the business section, took the buyout and left about a month ago.”
