The Wall Street Journal is looking for an ambitious reporter to cover one of the hottest stories of the past two years, the oil and natural gas markets.
Oil prices have enjoyed a powerful rally this year after a historic oil rout pressured financial markets worldwide, causing bankruptcies in the U.S. and upending economies around the globe.
The ideal candidate will be able to write quickly on deadline and produce daily oil and gas market comments for online, print and other platforms.
He or she should also be able to write vivid enterprise stories about the forces influencing oil prices, and the traders and money managers who scored big or suffered when prices turned. The candidate should also be able to explain how oil and gas prices interact with currencies and other markets.
Applications should include a resume, cover letter, and up to five published clips.
