The Wall Street Journal seeks a reporter to cover the private-equity beat.
The job involves breaking news on private-equity deals and covering the industry, including publicly traded behemoths such as Blackstone Group LP and KKR & Co., Carlyle Group LP and Apollo Global Management LP.
Private-equity firms in recent years have moved beyond the leverage buyout, transforming into massive financial institutions with influence in nearly every corner of Wall Street and the economy. Our beat reporter is expected to conceptualize and execute enterprise stories on this deep, varied and important financial-news beat.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of both breaking news and developing smart feature and enterprise stories. We are looking for someone with financial or business journalism experience who is eager to be part of the WSJ deals team and is able to work well with others both within and beyond the group.
