The Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer, a 20,000-circulation newspaper in western Kentucky, is seeking a full-time business reporter.

We are looking for someone self-motivated with a “can do” attitude and from two to three years of experience on a business beat at a daily newspaper.

We will also consider an experienced daily newspaper reporter who hasn’t had a business beat, but can display, with clips, an aptitude for reporting business news.

Our newsroom staff has very little turnover. This is an excellent opportunity to work with and learn from seasoned, award-winning journalists.

The successful candidate will have excellent writing and accurate reporting skills, a passion for local and regional journalism and the ability to meet deadlines.

An excellent driving record is a must. We offer competitive pay and benefits. Please send cover letter, resume and clips to City Editor Robert Bruck at bbruck@messenger-inquirer.com,
