Mashable is seeking a business reporter who wants to work with a smart, funny, disciplined and growing team whose mission is to make business not boring. The job will require, in part, learning about and writing about advertising –including the sagas of digital, mobile, and finding the new Don Drapers of the world — as well covering a plethora of other business topics depending on the news.
The ideal candidate is a good human being with multiple interests who likes to see teammates succeed; can write about humans in business in a way that even your mom will read; has the curiosity to tackle new subjects and tell new stories every day in formats both short and long; wants to add something to the sum of human knowledge; likes discussing stories with a team and thinking big; can write clearly; and is a general pleasure to be around. This person has at least two to three years experience of full-time writing and reporting and a digital presence on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or another platform that involves reading and interacting with an audience.
The job is based in our sylvan, light-filled New York City headquarters with perks that include enormous windows, unlimited string cheese, and great coworkers who support each other.
