Bloomberg Markets is looking for reporters to zealously cover the world of markets in a manner that’s unique to the web.
The ideal candidates will have deep knowledge in areas such as equities, credit, currencies, and commodities (or any combination thereof). The ideal candidates will have had experience reporting in a fast-paced digital media environment, and must be eager to innovate new forms of conveying information and telling stories.
Reporters must be comfortable shifting gears, moving from quick-hit posts (E.G. a sentence and a chart) to longer, more richly-reported pieces. If you love diving into the latest Jobs Report looking for the REAL story in the numbers, monitoring a screen of blinking quotes, or scanning sell-side research for the most interesting calls of the day, this role is probably perfect for you.
Responsibilities:
– Write pieces covering the most interesting stories in financial markets.
– Help to innovate new ways of talking about markets beyond the standard “article.”
– Help ensure that Bloomberg Markets is always on top of the most important stories in markets.
